Join us this week as we interview Bay Area legend Johnny Colla!

Most of you know Johnny from Huey Lewis and The News, but Johnny also has history that has crossed paths with Night Ranger history! Johnny joined Rubicon in 1979, which also counted Jack Blades, Brad Gillis, and Kelly Keagy as members.

Johnny shares stories of the Bay Area scene with his band Soundhole and Huey’s band Clover. He talks about joining Rubicon and shares thoughts on all the members. We also discuss the demise of Rubicon and, from its ashes, Johnny singing on a demo with Stereo! Stereo was the band Jack, Kelly, and Brad formed immediately after Rubicon and that eventually morphed into Ranger! He also shares with us one of the track titles he sang on (hint: it ended up on Dawn Patrol)!

We talk about the 80’s heights that Huey Lewis & The News scaled, Johnny’s current endeavors, and the future of Huey Lewis and The News.

So sit back, grab a cold one, and enjoy some great stories with Johnny Colla!
